Principal's Message - Unexpected Weather Event

Kia Ora all

We hope that you and your whānau are safe and dry.

In saying that we know that many of you live and work in areas that have been heavily affected by the present emergency situation that Tāmaki Makaurau is experiencing. If there is anything we can help with, please let us know.

Potential School Closures

As you know, the Auckland council announced a ‘state of emergency’ for our region for seven days. It is the council that will initially decide on how that may affect schools’ opening. This may be in relation to access on surrounding roads around specific areas. The Ministry of Education is presently waiting to receive more information about this.

At this stage Wesley College is all good to go with no damage or concern, so will are hoping to be full steam ahead come Tuesday.

I will update everyone as soon as I hear.
