Kia ora! Ko Charlotte Saunders toku ingoa.
I’m proud to have been part of the Wesley College whaanau since 2016 when I returned to work after the arrival of my second son. I’ve had the privilege of serving as Deputy Principal since the start of 2023. My key responsibilities include leading student wellbeing and services, chair the Safeguarding Committee, and I also act as the school’s complaints officer.
I’m a firm believer that children need to feel safe, supported and valued in order to thrive—both in the classroom and beyond. Safeguarding and child safety are at the heart of everything I do.
It’s an honour to work at Wesley College, New Zealand’s oldest secondary school and the only Methodist school in Aotearoa. The special character of Wesley is something I deeply respect and am committed to protecting for all students—past, present and future.

![]() | Designated Safeguarding Trustee Mr Jeoffry Moeakiola |
I am a proud Tongan with over 15 years of experience working across child protection, youth justice, adult prisons, and community engagement in both Melbourne and Aotearoa. My passion lies in supporting disengaged and at-risk young people to find purpose, belonging, and meaningful opportunities for growth.
As co-founder of a youth program for rangatahi unable to attend mainstream schools, I have witnessed the transformative impact of culturally grounded mentoring and education.
In my current role as Trainer, Facilitator, and Mentor with Puatala, I continue to stand alongside Pacific communities, supporting pathways into employment, training, and education.
I serve on the Wesley College Trust Board as the Designated Safeguarding Trustee, as well as on the School Board and Disciplinary Board. My commitment is to raise awareness of bullying, violence, and mental health, while giving back to Wesley College. Looking ahead, my vision is to help shape the next 10–15 years of the College’s journey, strengthening not only its academic excellence but also its sporting and cultural foundations for future generations.
As the Designated Safeguarding Trustee, Jeoffry is also one of the College’s designated people for receiving any Non-Recent (Historical) Allegations of Abuse or any concerns through our Protected Disclosures (Whistleblowing) Policy.
