Principal's Update to Families - 13 September 2021

Kia Ora Whanau

I’m sure you have heard the Prime Minister announced that Tāmaki Makaurau will remain at Alert Level 4 until 11.59pm on Tuesday September 21st. This decision is due to be reviewed on Monday 20th September.

In principle, Auckland could move to Level 3 on the Tuesday night. In the meanwhile we will continue with online learning for our students.

Please keep doing your best to support our teachers and your children. As the days go on it is really, really important they are engaging with their teachers and getting through their school work.

We have noticed some students are slipping off in terms of workload. Please check in with them and ask what work they have been doing, what work is due, and what is their plan for each day.

I appreciate this is hard work for parents as well, but it is important that we make sure our students are in good shape academically when they return.

Please be confident we will ensure your children succeed. Despite disruptions last year we still achieved record high pass rates!

Should you have any concerns or questions, please don’t hesitate to contact your child’s Learning Coach or Dean in the first instance.

Senior Leadership have been working on creating a plan for the return to school. That plan will keep changing as timeframes keep moving! We will make sure the school is safe and ready for the students on their return.

We all know it is certainly challenging times, Kia Kaha!
