MIT Trades Academy OPEN EVENING
Thursday 20th August from 5.30pm to 7.00pm
at Tech Park Campus 58 Manukau Station Road, Manukau
This event is open to all Year 11 to 13 students to visit and view the facilities at MIT Tech Park and find out more about courses on offer.

University OPEN DAYS 2026
Please note that Saturday 29th August is a very big day for the major universities in Auckland.
On the same day, and right next to each other are the open days for the University of Auckland, Auckland University of Technology and Whitecliffe College of Art and Design.
Each university is next to each other, and so it is easy to walk between each one.
Purpose:
To visit university departments of your choice to gain course information about course content and scholarship information. To chat to current staff and students. Very useful contacts can also be made. I recommend all students from Year 11 to Year 13 visit the open days, if they are curious about or intend to study at university.
Travel:
I strongly recommend traveling to Auckland central by train. Travel is free. Students can collect a paper ticket from me at any time. Alternatively, a free travel pass can be downloaded at the link attached to this post:

You can meet me at one of the following locations: (Mr R Jack)
Please note that attendance is at the preference/discretion of each student/family.
This is NOT a Wesley College arranged trip.
However, I will be on hand if students wish to meet me so I can support and advise.
I will be at the following locations at each specified time. I will remain at each location for 15 minutes to meet and advise our students.
Britomart train station (Waitemata station)
10.00 – 10.15 - Near the ticket exit barriers
University of Auckland
11.00 – 11.15 – Outside the main library (Alfred Street)
Auckland University of Technology
12.00 – 12.15 – inside the main foyer/atrium (55 Wellesley Street East)
Dress: There is no dress code for this event. Students will represent Wesley College really well if they wear their Number 1’s or usual school uniform. However, most visiting students don’t wear school uniform so mufti is perfectly acceptable.
