“Future Me offers Māori and Pacific students the opportunity to broaden their perspectives and receive support on their academic journey through their Senior years of High School. We will have a diverse range of engaging and interactive workshops facilitated throughout the day. The events provide Māori and Pacific students with a meaningful touchpoint experience and offering opportunities to engage in culturally responsive learning activities. The programme encourages students to see how Māori and Pacific identities and cultures can be embraced and celebrated as they begin their journey into tertiary education. Students engage in workshops in a variety of university departments such as Exercise and Health Science, Marine Biology, Māori & Pasifika Fine Arts, Engineering Science, to name but a few”
