GirlBoss NZ Presentation
On Thursday 5th June, Wesley was pleased to host Alexia from GirlBoss NZ. The mission of Girl Boss is to close the gender gap in Science, Technology, Engineering, Maths, Leadership & Entrepreneurship.
Alexia spoke to our wahine ākonga with an inspirational presentation of believing in yourself and being your biggest cheerleader.
Alexia shared her story of growing up being one of the only females attending STEM events and in her computing and physics classes. Alexia started her company GirlBoss at the age of 16 after realising the injustice of these areas being male dominated and has since gone on to have multiple accolades and achievements.
Alexia’s message of following your dreams and inspirations and that our wahine need to support each other but most of all themselves to go out and change the world and be the next leaders and CEO’s, but most of all follow their dreams of what they want to do and what they can do, was inspiration for our wahine ākonga.
