A great vibe throughout the school celebrating Pink Shirt Day and Support Staff Day. We also farewelled Mr Gideon Hurricane, Assistant Food Services Manager, having been at Wesley College for 12 years.
From bright pink outfits to creative pink accessories, our students and staff filled the kura with colour, kindness, and unity as we celebrated Pink Shirt Day. Today was more than just wearing pink — it was about standing together to create a community where respect, inclusion, and compassion shine brighter than bullying.
Every pink shirt, ribbon, hat, and accessory became a symbol of support, reminding us that even the smallest act of kindness can make a big difference. Together, we raised our voices to say 𝙉𝙊 𝙩𝙤 𝙗𝙪𝙡𝙡𝙮𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙔𝙀𝙎 𝙩𝙤 𝙖 𝙨𝙖𝙛𝙚 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙬𝙚𝙡𝙘𝙤𝙢𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙚𝙣𝙫𝙞𝙧𝙤𝙣𝙢𝙚𝙣𝙩 𝙛𝙤𝙧 𝙖𝙡𝙡.
Thank you to everyone who participated and helped paint Wesley College PINK with aroha, unity, and courage. 𝙏𝙤𝙜𝙚𝙩𝙝𝙚𝙧, 𝙬𝙚 𝙨𝙥𝙚𝙖𝙠 𝙪𝙥, 𝙨𝙩𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙩𝙤𝙜𝙚𝙩𝙝𝙚𝙧, 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙨𝙩𝙤𝙥 𝙗𝙪𝙡𝙡𝙮𝙞𝙣𝙜.
